Other Food not from the farm

Over the last month we have had some other really good food. Many of these were experiments but have turned out awesome! So here you go!

Fried Artichoke Hearts with Sundried Dijon DipĀ

This was fairly easy actually. I dipped the artichokes in some flour and then pan fried them until they were crispy. Since each piece was so little it really didn’t take that long to cook at all. The dip I made was whole grain mustard, sundried tomatoes, a little bit of mayo and lemon juice. Yes it was very good!

Sesame Crusted Tuna

I had bought some ahi tuna steak and decided that we were going to try to crust them with sesame seeds like you find it in restaurants. We threw these on the grill and they were very good! The only thing that was a bummer was that some of the sesame seeds fell off when we were cooking.

Veggie Bacon Pizza

This was a pizza night in our house. Sean likes to put a lot of meat on his pizza where I like to make my a little bit lighter. His pizza was the veggie bacon pizza. It had tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and crumbled bacon on there. He really enjoyed it!

Pear Bacon Feta Pizza

My pizza on the other hand was very different. I put slices of fresh peaches, feta cheese, and crumbled bacon. I did not put any sauce on this pizza but once the pizza came off of the grill I drizzled some balsamic vinaigrette over the top. It was an awesome pizza. Different but sooo good!

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

This was a completely different pizza night. We put grilled chicken, buffalo sauce, fresh green peppers, and fresh onions on this one. This one was cooked in the oven instead of on the grill. We didn’t feel like getting the grill out that night!
