Since Uncle Sam wasn’t going to be able to attend Mr. G’s birthday, he came for a quick visit before heading off to Scotland. Unfortunately, Mr. G wasn’t feeling too hot that weekend and so finally on Uncle Sam’s last night here, we celebrated his birthday a little early with some sugar (an ice cream cupcake) and presents!

Almost a month later, I finally post these pictures. We went to another opening weekend at Strasburg and the little man really enjoyed riding the train again. It was a little on the chilly side but he did great.

I was super excited to actually get the camera out and take some of these photos! I wasn’t sure that I would have the time or energy to do this but it worked out! Now we have our family photo to add to the other years (I just need to get a photo album started of those photos.)

This is probably one of the best birthday cakes I have made for Sean! This is the recipe I used and it was super moist and yummy even after being in the fridge for a couple of days. I did substitute gluten free flour and it worked fine!
